The 2026 New Mexico State Fair takes place from Sept. 10-20, 2026. The State Fair promises to be a magical event that highlights the culture, agriculture, art, and beauty of New Mexico, featuring top-quality music and entertainment. This year’s Fair will celebrate the 100 th Anniversary of Route 66. Since 1938 the New Mexico State Fair has been a favorite gathering place for New Mexicans to celebrate local food, competition, culture, creativity and our rich agricultural heritage. Located just five miles east of downtown Albuquerque at EXPO NM, the New Mexico State Fair has consistently been in the top 5 ranked fairs in the nation based on affordability, programming and weather.
