Albuquerque, come spend the evening with me. I’m honored to be the featured poet for ADAC’s Open Mic Night on Thursday, September 17. This is going to be a beautiful night centered around creativity, community, and making space for every voice. I’ll be sharing poetry alongside an open mic, music from DJ T-Wave, food, local vendors, and a whole room full of people coming together through art. I especially love the work Albuquerque Disability Arts Collaborative is doing to create accessible spaces where artists with disabilities are not simply included, but celebrated, heard, and given the opportunity to share their work.
