SAVE THE DATE: Join us October 13–16, 2027, at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for the New Mexico State Historic Preservation Conference! The conference brings people, ideas, and inspiration together from communities across New Mexico. Exploring topics including affordable housing, climate resilience, sustainability, heritage tourism, and economic revitalization, the conference offers a dynamic mix of educational sessions, field tours, workshops, and opportunities to connect with colleagues and communities. There are many ways to be part of the conference! The call for presentations opens December 1, inviting preservationists, historians, architects, community leaders, students, tradespeople, and others to share ideas, projects, research, and experiences. Sponsorship opportunities will also be available for organizations and businesses interested in supporting this statewide gathering. And student scholarships will be available, helping the next generation of preservation leaders participate and build connections. Join us for a lively exchange of ideas and experiences—and discover how preservation is helping shape New Mexico’s communities, economies, and future.
